Dom McAllister has dropped the final single in his long line of soulful pop in support of his Low On A Wave EP. ‘Intentions’ is built on luscious piano chords, twisted guitar lines and an impressive grasp of production which swells into a dramatic, thick textured ending full of bouncy percussion. The track features Jords, who delivers a poignant rapped verse over modern beats and almost reggae-like guitar chords. Speaking about the inspirations on his writing, McAllister says the track “speaks on the hardships of our daily lives. In homage to London and the tragedy of Grenfell Tower. I collaborated with Jords who speaks on his story which cuts deep”. ‘Intentions’ comes after a string of great tracks, including ‘Prospects’ and ‘Incense’, which are all built on honesty and powerfully relatable subjects.
